At HIMSS this past year, we asked our booth visitors to tell us about colleagues and friends in healthcare who go above and beyond to make a positive impact. We’ve been sharing those #GoesBeyond the last few weeks here on the blog (find them here, here, here, and here).
Keep reading for three new ones… then consider reaching out to someone you know who goes beyond, and let them know you appreciate all they do.
Kendra Slayton, Senior Manager, IT Applications at Hardin Memorial Hospital: “Randy works as a physician assistant and provides great care for his patients. He also works IT to make the system better for other providers.”
Jenny Whitsell, Manager of Clinical Informatics at Hardin Memorial Hospital: “Brenda goes above and beyond to make the world a better place by volunteering both professional and personally. She is involved in many community events and really gives back!”
Susan Heichert, CIO at Allina Health: “Dwight is an extremely giving person. He’s a first responder, organizes blood drives for our large organization and volunteers countless hours in the community. He shies away from recognition and never accepts the awards we try to give him, saying there’s someone else more deserving. He’s a true giving spirit.”
