Welcome to our third installment of #GoesBeyond posts from HIMSS attendees (if you missed the first two posts, you can find them here and here).
We started this campaign to highlight people who see opportunities to make the world better and take advantage of them. We asked people at HIMSS to tell us about individuals who go beyond their job description or what others expect in order to make a positive impact, and we’re honored to share three of those stories in this post.
Tina Soyrino, Clinical Solutions Consultant at Versus Technology: “Joyce is a wonderful, smart, and caring Nurse Practitioner. She works in Student Health Services, and her patients are always a priority; she always wants to be up-to-date to help her patients and the staff she works with. She is genuine. She loves nature, art, music, and believes in people. Joyce looks for the best in others and helps to bring that out!”
The next two stories were submitted by two different people, but were about the same person… a sign that Rodney has truly made an impact in the lives of people around him.
Raven Turner, Care Manager at St. Hope Foundation: “Rodney works tirelessly to make sure his employees as well as patients are well taken care of. His dedication to healthcare is amazing.”
Tanisha Johnson, Senior Grant Accountant at St. Hope Foundation: “Rodney created the vision for St. Hope Foundation and has implemented it imperfectly perfectly for the past 16 years. He not only takes care of his community by offering affordable healthcare, but he also gives back to the patients and employees selflessly all year round. He’s the reason we are at HIMSS experiencing the best of the healthcare industry.”
Thank you to everyone who shared a story with us at HIMSS—and a special thank you to everyone living a life worth writing about.
